We will show the big names, before they became famous, the amateurs, fans and people behind the scenes. Privateers made up most of the field, teams were rare and sponsors were few and far between.
Sky boxes were scaffolding on back of a pickup or camper shells, motor coach was a used Bus with propane stove. Barriers were hay bales and chain link fences. Grandstands were rare, folding chairs or hood or roof of your car were the best seat at the track. Coolers WERE permitted!
